What are the factors affecting pressure at a point in a liquid?
The depth of that point from the surface.
The density of the liquid.
Acceleration due to gravity.
P= h ρ g
The pressure at a point = depth of that point from the surface x density of fluid x acceleration due to gravity.
So the pressure will increase as you increase the depth, density of the liquid and acceleration due to gravity.
And decrease when you decrease the depth, density of the liquid and acceleration due to gravity.
Note: acceleration due to gravity is usually taken as constant but it actually changes depending on the location. Like gravity at the pole is slightly greater than gravity at the equator.
