Functions of proteins:
(i) The major structural component of cells which is responsible for the building and repair of body tissues.
(ii) Proteins do most of the work in cells and are required for the structure, function, and regulation of the body's tissues and organs.
(iii) It helps our body to fight against infections.
(iv) It helps in the formation of nails, hair and muscles.
