Following are the guidelines for the construction of a good table:
(i) Heading - Headings should generally be written in the singular form.
(ii) Abbreviations - Use of abbreviations should be avoided in the heading or sub-headings of the table.
(iii) Footnote - This should be given, only if needed.
(iv) Total - In the table, sub-totals of the items must be given at the end of each row.
