  1. Composite culture: Medieval period saw the advent of muslims. The interactions between Hindus and Muslims led to a composite culture.
  2. Development of languages: Many languages like Hindi and Urdu developed during this time.
  3. Customs: Many of our social customs and religious traditions were developed during the medieval period.
  4. Trade: As a result of trade India’s contact with the world increased and this led to a lot of give and take in terms of culture and traditions. Trade and commerce expanded.
  5. Religious movements: The Bhakti and Sufi saints brought a better understanding about the basic principles of Hinduism and Islam.
