1. Poor farmers could not afford High Yielding Variety seeds.
2. New machinery replaced manual labour leading to unemployment and rural-urban migration.
3. HYV seeds need more water and fertilizer, which is expensive.
4. Green Revolution was limited to rice and wheat only.
