Cause of air pollution:
The burning of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, natural gas, and gasoline to produce electricity and power our vehicles.
Carbon dioxide is a good indicator of how much fossil fuel is burned and how much of other pollutants are emitted as a result.
Causes of water pollution:
Sewage and Waste Water like garbage and liquid waste of households, agricultural lands and factories are discharged into lakes and rivers. These wastes contain harmful chemicals and toxins which make the water poisonous for aquatic animals and plants.
