Solution:

Cyclones, forest fires and tsunamis are natural disasters. All of them have devastating effects.

Cyclone
  • The simple meaning of cyclone is air which blows at an incredible speed.
  • Mostly, cyclones originate from 5𝆩 to 20𝆩 North and South of the equator. They are also known as tropical cyclones.
  • They are called hurricanes in North America, typhoons in South East Asia and cyclones in India.
  • It is a large air mass that rotates around an intense centre of low atmospheric pressure.
Forest Fire
  • A forest fire occurs in the forest. Except for lightning, all other reasons for a forest fire are man-induced.
  • There are more probabilities of a forest fire occurring during the dry season.
  • Once the forest fire starts, it spreads in the wind direction. The greater the wind velocity, the bigger the spread.
  • Once the fire starts, it extinguishes only by itself or due to heavy rain.
Tsunami
  • A tsunami is a series of ocean waves that sends water surges, sometimes reaching heights of over 100 feet, onto land.
  • Underwater earthquakes cause these water surges, resulting in destruction when they crash ashore.
  • A massive tsunami struck Dec 26 2004, in southeast Asia. More than 1.5 lakh people died, and many more were rendered homeless.
