Solution

a) Nuclear envelope: It is the double layered nuclear membrane that surrounds the nucleus. It is made up of proteins and lipids. The space between the inner and outer membrane is called as intermembrane space.

b) Nucleoplasm : Nucleoplasm is found inside the nucleus. It is a highly gelatinous, sticky liquid that supports the chromosomes and nucleoli.

c) Nucleolus: It is the largest organelle in the nucleus and the organisms will not be able to survive without the nucleolus. Ribosomes are synthesised in the nucleolus.

d) Chromatin material: It is an entangled mass of fine, thread-like structure present inside the nucleus. It is a complex of DNA, RNA and proteins that helps in the DNA folding.

e) Chromosomes: Chromatin condenses into rod-like structures at the time of cell division. These duplicated structures appear with two arms, each known as a chromatid. These chromosomes carry the genetic information from one generation of cells to the next through cell division.
