Open in App
Solution

Dear student

Belgium in spite of being a small country has a very ethnic composition having 59% of dutch people , 40% of french and 1% of germans. Also in the capital city of Brussels 80% are french speaking and 20% are dutch speaking. The french speaking community although being a minority were relatively rich and powerful. Dutch people got the benefit of development much later. And this led to the tensions between dutch and french speaking .And these were reasons behind the disturbances in Belgium.
