What are the major powers and functions of cabinet?

1.Cabinet is a small body of 15-18 leaders who hold important portfolios like defence, railways, finance etc. whereas council of ministers(COM) is a large body having approximately half the strength of lok sabha who may or may not hold important portfolios

2.Cabinet is a group of leaders which meet as frequently as possible whereas concil of ministers wholly meet rarely.

3.Cabinet is the one chief group advising and aiding ppresident and prime minister whereas council of ministers does not wholly play the role of advisory but they play the function od implementation of policies.

4.It is the cabinet which in reality advice the president whereas council of ministers wholly does not have the power to influence the decision of president.
