  1. Gametes are the reproductive cells of the body.
  2. The male gamete is called sperm and the female gamete is called ovum.
  3. In humans male gamete is motile and female gamete is non-motile.
  4. Hence, the male gamete should be transferred into the female reproductive tract.
  5. Male gamete is produced via a process of spermatogenesis while female gamete is produced via a process of oogenesis.
  6. Male gamete is produced in testes and female gamete is produced in ovary.
