1) Haemorrhagic manifestations - The term "hemorrhagic" comes from the Greek word which literally means "haima"- blood + rhegnumai"- to break forth.
Hemorrhage, also known as bleeding is the name used to describe blood loss. Loss of blood occurs inside as well as outside of the body. Internal bleeding occurs by the leaking of blood through a damaged blood vessel; damaging of blood vessel may be because of an internal injury. External bleeding occurs when blood exits through an injured skin. It could also occur through mouth, vagina, rectum and nose. all the symptoms of hemorrhage are collectively called hemorrhagic manifestation.
2) Chikungunya fever is biphasic - The fever of chikungunya is biphasic means it occurs in two phases -
First is incubation phase in which symptoms of illness occurs,ranges from 3-7 days, which is characterised by sudden onset of high fever and joint pains.
In seconfd phase, symptoms may include headache, conjunctivitis, nausea, myalgia, arthritis, vomiting, and maculopapular rash.These biphasic symptoms often get severe and can be debilitating.
