What are the objectives of conservation of natural resources?

Conserving the natural resources is becoming the top priority because these are depleting on an alarming rate. For example, Glaciers are melting down and we are losing our limited reserves of drinking water. Forests are being cut and we are making it difficult to breathe. The predominant goals are: To promote, organize, inspire the study and beautify knowledge, information and appreciation of nature, and the precept and exercise of conservation of natural sources among the common mass.
