Oxidation number of H=+1, Mg=+2 and of O=2.
1. H3PO2: 3×1+x+2×(2)=0
3+x4=0 or x=+1
2. H3PO4: 3×1+x+4×(2)=0
3+x8=0 or x=+5
3. Mg2P2O7: 2×2+2x+7×(2)=0
4+2x14=0 or x=+5
4. PH3: x+3×1=0
x=3
5. HPO3: 1+x+3×(2)=0
