what are the parts of an electrical bulb?

In an electric bulb there remains a filament wire that gives light. This filament is connected to two thick wires for support. One of the thick wires is connected to the metal case at the base of the bulb and other thick wire is connected to the metal tip at the centre of the base of the bulb. Thus the metal tip and metal base of an electric bulb are two terminals of the bulb and both terminals are arranged in such a manner that they do not touch each other.
