Question

What are the products formed in anaerobic respiration in humans?is CO2 released?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
Chemical equation for anaerobic respiration is as follows:
C6H12O62C3H6O3+120 Kj/molGlucoselactic acid+energy

Humans do not produce Carbon di oxide during anaerobic respiration. Lactic acid is produced during anaerobic respiration in humans.
In humans, it is the muscle tissue that respires anaerobically normally during exercise. At that time the body cannot intake the required oxygen for the cells to respire. In this situation energy is not made and the muscles require more energy. So they achieve it in the absence of oxygen. This is called anaerobic respiration of humans. But when they have stopped exercising or relaxing during exercise they breathe heavily to compensate the oxygen debt.
