According to Articles 157 and 158 of the Constitution, eligibility requirements for the post of Governor are as follows:
They should be a citizen of India.
They must have completed 35 years of age.
They should not be a member of Parliament or of any State Legislature. If they are a member of any Legislature, they must vacate their seat upon assuming the office.
They should not hold any other profitable occupation.
