Solution

  1. Force: Force is an external agent capable of changing the state of rest or motion of a particular body.
  2. S.I. unit: It is the metric system used universally as a standard for measurements.
  3. C.G.S unit: It is the centimeter-gram-second system of the unit.
  4. Newton is the S.I. unit and Dyne is the C.G.S. unit of force.

The relation between Newton and Dyne is,

1N=1kg×1m/s2

Since, 1kg=1000gand1m=100cm

1N=1000g×100cm/s2=1000×100×g×cm/s2=105gcm/s2

Therefore,1N=105dyne.
