Orientation of a relief feature's slope

In hachuring, we draw short lines called hachures and these lines are used to represent orientation and direction of a particular relief feature’s slope. These Hachures are made short, close and thick in regions of steep slopes whereas in regions of gentle slopes, the lines are made long and thin.
