(a) Pressure is defined as the thrust acting per unit area on an object. It is denoted by the letter P
So, the unit of pressure is Nm-2which is called Pascal (Pa).

(b) Thrust is the force acting perpendicular to the surface of an object.

Since, thrust is the perpendicular force acting on a body, its unit is Newton (N)
