What are the similarities between nutrition in amoeba and nutrition in paramecium?
Both undergo intracellular digestion.
Digestion is carried out with help of digestive juices secreted in the food vacuole.
Amoeba and Paramecium are both unicellular organisms undergoing similar method of digestion. The only difference is: paramecium doesn't “engulf” its food like amoeba does but take in particles of food through its “mouth” ( the oral groove). Paramecium creates a food vacuole as well, but the vacuole is separate from the “mouth” whereas amoeba engulf their prey and create a food vacuole surrounding the food.
