Solution

So what has been changed in River Ganga in last few months?
Let's do a quick Fact check.
I am providing some updates here......these updates are not from some media house or websites....it's from the ground....and anybody who is living in that area can confirm the details.
Updates of Namami Gange Project.
1. A huge Sever network is being developed, a large chunk of these STP's have been completed. Now Ganga's water won't be contaminated by Sever. 3 sewerage management projects under implementation in the States of Uttarakhand,Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. 12 new sewerage management Projects Launched in these states.Work is under construction for creating Sewerage capacity of 1187.33 (MLD).Hybrid Annuity PPP Model based two projects has been initiated for Jagjeetpur, Haridwar and Ramanna, Varanasi.
2. Government is creating River-Front - 28 River-Front Development projects and 33 Entry level Projects for construction, modernization and renovation of 182 Ghats and 118 crematoria has been initiated. Many have been completed, people of Varanasi and nearby areas can confirm it.
3. There are 4465 villages along Ganga river right from Gangotri till Sundarban delta. You would be surprised to know that every single one of them have made Open Defecation Free till now. People who are living in areas along banks of Ganga can confirm it.
4. Government has built 10,84,000 individual household toilets in those Villages.
5. River Surface cleaning for collection of floating solid waste from the surface of the Ghats and River and its disposal are afoot and pushed into service at 11 locations.
6. Consortium of 7 IIT's has been engaged in the preparation of Ganga River basin Plan and 65 villages has been adopted by 13 IIT's to develop as model villages.
7. Development of Ghats with adequate facilities, huge chunk is completed.
8. Industrial Effluent Monitoring:- Real Time Effluent Monitoring Stations (EMS) has been installed in 572 out of 760 Grossly Polluting Industries (GPIs). Closure notice have been issued to 135 GPIs so far and others have been given deadlines for compliance to stipulated norms and for installations of online EMS.
9. Real time monitoring of 211 Big Nallas is being done 24*7, and action plan has been deviced to reduce this pollution to lowest.
10. Kanpur's infamous Sisamau Nallah, which used to brought in 14 Crore liter filthy water (sever or other Industrial waste) into Ganga on daily basis, has been reduced to half. 8 Crore litre Water diverted to the nearest Sevage Water treatment plant on daily basis and remaining will be done in next couple of months.
And the most important fact....Mr. Nitin Gadhkari is handling this project.....he is one of the best central ministers known for his work and will complete it before time.
A small advise.....it is not the Government alone who is responsible for Ganga Cleaning....we do have our responsibility as a Citizen or a Devotee....so please make sure we wont pollute Ganga or any other River by any way possible.
