What Are the Symptoms of Blocked Arteries in Legs?

Open in App
Solution

Arteries: These are the vessels that transport blood to all the parts of the body from the heart. The accumulation of fat molecules along the inner wall of the arteries leads to blockage of the arteries and disrupts blood flow.

The symptoms of blocked arteries in the legs are as follows:

  1. Wounds: Sores in the legs occur due to blockage of blood flow.
  2. Bluish color: Due to blockage of proper blood flow, the blood begins to clots and turns blue.
  3. Numbness in the affected part: Since the arteries are blocked, the legs lose sensation and the region becomes numb.
