Open in App
Solution

Human cell:

  1. The cell is the structural and functional unit of life.
  2. The cells constitute the various tissues that further build organ systems in living organisms.
  3. Three basic components of the cell are Nucleus, Cell membrane and Cytoplasm.

Nucleus:

  1. The nucleus is a double membrane-bound organelle located at the center of a cell.
  2. The nucleus regulates the growth and metabolic activities of a cell
  3. It contains DNA and also controls the replication and transcription of DNA.

Cell membrane:

  1. The cell membrane is made up of lipid bilayers.
  2. It provides a fixed environment inside the cell.
  3. The cell membrane is selectively permeable to certain molecules and regulates the transport of molecules in and out of the cell

Cytoplasm:

  1. Cytoplasm lies between cell membrane and nucleus.
  2. It is a semi-fluid matrix where cellular activities take place.
  3. The cell organelles such as mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, vacuoles, Golgi apparatus, etc. are suspended in the cytoplasm.
