What are the three levels of Governance in India?
Answer:
The three levels of Governance in India are Central Government, State Government and Local Government. The Central Government works at the national level, the State Government works at the State level and the Local Government works at a village, or town level. Governments have the power to make laws, take decisions and enforce decisions. If people feel that the laws made by the Government are inappropriate, they can approach the Judiciary.
In a democracy the true power lies with the people because the Governments at all levels are elected by the people. If people are unhappy with the decisions taken by the Governments, then they can be voted out in the next elections by the people. As the Governments are chosen by the people, it is known as representative democracy.
