1. A type of motion in which a body rotates on a fixed axis is called rotatory motion.
2. Rotatory motion can be of two types- spin or orbital.

The two kinds of rotary motion:

1. Spin: When an object rotates around it's own axis then the motion is known as spin.
2. Orbital: When an object moves along a circular or elliptical path then the motion is known as orbital motion.
