Eukaryotic Chromosome: The chromosome of a eukaryotic cell is present inside the nucleus which is surrounded by a membrane called a nuclear membrane. It is formed of a pair of chromatids joined at the region called a centromere.

Two main components of chromosomes :

  1. Genetic material DNA/ RNA: The genetic material of eukaryotic organisms may be deoxyribonucleic acid or ribonucleic acid.
  2. Histone proteins: The proteins such as H1, H2A, H2B, H3, and H4 make the eukaryotic DNA into a condensed form.
