Two main types of fruits :

1. Simple fruits: The fruits which develop from a single mature ovary are called simple fruits. Apples, bananas, tomatoes, and pears are simple fruits
2. Aggregate fruits: The fruits which develop from a large number of mature ovaries in a single flower are called aggregate fruits. Blackberry and strawberry are aggregate fruits.
