Solution

Pancreas:

  1. The organ of the digestive system is located in the abdomen.
  2. It secretes pancreatic juices which contain the enzymes that help in the digestion of food.
  3. Its endocrine cells are responsible for the fluctuation and regulation of blood sugar.

Two types of cells in the pancreas: The pancreas contains glandular and polygonal cells

  1. Glandular cells of exocrine glands: These cells constitute most of the part of the pancreatic tissue and secrete digestive juices through the pancreatic duct into the duodenum.
  2. Polygonal cells of islets of Langerhans: These cells secrete two hormones( insulin and glucagon) in the blood which regulate the glucose balance in the blood.
