Two types of cortical hormones are Glucocorticoids and Mineralocorticoids :

Glucocorticoids:

  2. Glucocorticoids promote proteolysis, lipolysis, and gluconeogenesis.
  3. Glucocorticoids participate in the reactions to stress.

Mineralocorticoids:

  2. Mineralocorticoids control how many electrolytes are present.
