Plectenchyma: The compact or loose tissue is formed by the threads of mycelium (network of hyphae) and is referred to as plectenchyma.

Types of Plectenchyma:

  1. Pseudoparenchyma: The plectenchyma in which cells are more or less oval-shaped and parenchymatous.
  2. Prosenchyma: The plectenchyma in which the cells appear parallel to one another.
