What are the types of angle modulation?
Modulation
Modulation is a technique in which a message signal is transmitted to the receiver with the help of a carrier signal. Here in modulation, we combine both carrier signal and the message signal.
Angle Modulation:
Angle modulation is defined as the process in which either the frequency or the phase of the carrier signal varies with respect to the message signal.
1.1. Frequency Modulation (FM)
11.2. Phase Modulation (PM)
Frequency Modulation (FM):
Frequency modulation can be defined as the process through which the frequency of the carrier signal is varied in a linear fashion with regard to the message signal.
Phase Modulation (PM):
Phase modulation can be defined as the process through which the phase of the carrier signal is varied in a linear fashion with respect to the message signal.
Hence, there are two types of angle modulation: Frequency Modulation (FM) and Phase Modulation (PM).
