Inheritance: The transmission of genetic information from one generation to the next generation is called genetic inheritance.
Types of Genetic inheritance:
Complete Dominance: The type of inheritance in which the dominant allele suppresses the expression of the recessive allele.
Incomplete Dominance: Any particular trait of the gene is dominant but not expressed fully in heterozygous conditions.
Co-Dominance: The type of inheritance in which the dominant alleles of both genes express together.
Sex-linked inheritance: The type of inheritance in which traits are transferred to offspring from the sex chromosomes of parents.
In humans, females have only one sex chromosome and if the traits are present on the X chromosome of females then it is termed X-linked inheritance.
In males one X chromosome and one Y chromosome are present and if the traits are present on the X chromosome of females then it is termed Y-linked inheritance
