Types of rural settlements:
  • Scattered Settlements: Settlements are spaced out over an extensive area. This type of settlement is mostly found in hilly areas, thick forests, and regions with extreme climates.
  • Compact Settlements: Settlements are a closely built area of houses. Houses are built over available flat land in the area.
