Uses of Silicon:
Silicon is used as a semiconductor
Silicon in the form of Silicon dioxide is used in the preparation of glass.
Si in the form of Silicon Carbide is used as an abrasive.
Silicon is used in transistors and solar cells

Uses of Phosphorous:
Red Phosphorous is used in manufacture of matchsticks.
It is used in fertilisers.
It is used in manufacture of an alloy called Phosphour bronze
Used in manufacture of a lot of inorganic compounds

Uses of Sulphur
Used in gunpowder and matches
Used in vulcanisation of rubber
Used as a fumigant.
Used in treatment of certain skin diseases.

Uses of graphite:
Used in making casts and moulds
Used in making leads of pencils
Used in making steel
Used in making brakelinings.
