Reproduction:

  1. Reproduction is the process by which the living organism is able to produce more of its own kind.
  2. The continuity of life on the earth from its origin to the present day has been possible only because of reproduction.
  3. Living organisms reproduce in two ways they are asexual and sexual reproduction.
  4. During asexual reproduction, only one parent is involved.
  5. During sexual reproduction, two parents are involved.
  6. However, it has a broader perspective and includes reproduction's emotional and social aspects.

Various aspects of reproduction covered by WHO (World Health Organization) are:

Physical development:

  1. Physical development means the progress of a child's control of the body.
  2. Physical development includes growth which is changes in the size and structure of the cells such as increases in height and weight and hence, the lengthening of bones, cutting of the teeth, changes in body proportions, and increases in muscles and tissues.

Emotional development:

  1. Emotional development mentions to the changes that occur in our ability to control and understand our own moods and feelings and the expression of these emotions, as well as understanding the emotions of others.
  2. It includes feelings we develop ourselves and includes aspects such as confidence and concept.

Behavioral development :

  1. Human behavior includes physical actions and movements.
  2. The behavior may be conscious, planned, purposeful or unconscious, automatic and habitual.
  3. In other words, it may be within our awareness and control and performed decisively and with discipline.

Social development:

  1. Social development relies on the interaction with others and refers to the development of knowledge and skills, attitudes, values, and behaviors necessary for the appropriate interaction and relationships with other people.
  2. Social development occurs as a result of socialization.
  3. Also, we learn primarily from our family but other influences include peers, workplaces, media, schools, etc.
