Solution

Types of animal tissue:
1. Epithelial tissues

Squamous epithelial tissue:
  • Location: It is present in lines of blood vessels and lymph vessels.
  • Also present in alveoli of lungs and nephrons of kidney and internal ear.
  • Function: It provides protection to the underlying parts against abrasion and entry of germs.
  • Also helps in excretion and gas exchange.
Columnar epithelial tissue:
  • Location: Present in the lining of stomach intestine gallbladder and bile duct.
  • Function: It helps in protection, absorption, and secretion.
Cuboidal epithelial tissue:
  • Location: It is present in the salivary duct, pancreatic duct, nephron of kidney, thyroid gland and ovaries.
  • Function: It helps in protection, secretion, absorption, excretion and gamete formation.
Ciliated epithelial tissue:
  • Location: It is found in the lining of the windpipe, kidney tubules and oviduct.
  • Function: It helps in the movement of mucus, urine, eggs, sperms and cerebrospinal fluid in a particular direction.
2. Muscular tissue

Striated voluntary muscle:
  • Location : These tissues are found in arms, legs, neck etc.
  • Function : These tissues help in the moment of the body.
Unstriated involuntary muscles:
  • Location : These muscles are found in the stomach, intestine, blood vessels, breathing passages and urogenital ducts.
  • Function : Function of these muscles is rhythmic contraction and relaxation.
Cardiac muscles:
  • Location : These muscles are present only in the heart.
  • Functions : Rhythmic contraction and relaxation is the function of these muscles.
3. Nervous tissue
  • Location : It is present in the brain, spinal cord and nerves.
  • Function : The main function of nervous tissue is to carry the message in the form of nerve impulses.
Connective tissue connective:

Connective tissue proper:
  • Location : These tissues are found widely distributed all over the body in between other tissues.
  • Function : Its main function is connectivity.
  • It connects the skin with the muscles, fills the spaces inside the organs, attaches the blood vessel and nerves with surrounding tissue.
Supportive connective tissue:
  • It consists of two tissues: cartilage and bone.
Cartilage:
  • • Location: It is found in the nose tip, ear pinna, rings of the windpipe, end of long bones, etc.
  • Function: Its main function is providing support and flexibility.
Bone:
  • Location: These tissues are found in the bones.
  • Function: It provides support to the body for movement.
Fluid connective tissue:
  • It consists of two tissues: blood and lymph.
Blood:
  • Location: Blood is present all inside the body in blood vessels.
  • Function: Its main function is the transportation of oxygen, waste materials, nutrients, food materials etc.
Lymph:
  • Location: It is found in the surrounding body cells.
  • Function: It transport food materials, hormones, oxygen etc.
