Solution
Fruit:
The part of the plant that arises from the ovary of the flower is known as fruit.
The fruit is fleshy and encloses the seed in it.
The seed in the fruit then arises into a new plant.
There are three types of fruit: Simple fruit, Aggregate fruit and Composite fruit.
Simple fruit:
Simple fruit is raised from the single ovary of a single flower that has single or many seeds.
Example: Tomato.
Aggregate fruit:
Aggregate fruit is raised from the multiple ovaries of a single flower.
Example: Pineapple.
Composite fruit:
Composite fruit is raised from the inflorescence, not the flower.
Example: Walnut.
