The seven types of plastic include:

• Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE or PET) - For example - soda bottles , bakery products , frozen foods packaging
• High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE). For example - milk jugs , shampoo bottles , piping
• Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC).For example - blood bags , wire and cable insulation
• Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE). For example - toys , lids , plastic bags , computer components
• Polypropylene (PP). For example - bottle taps , bottles and Luggage
• Polystyrene or Styrofoam (PS). For example - CD and DVD cases, egg cartons
• Miscellaneous plastics (includes: polycarbonate, polylactide, acrylic, acrylonitrile butadiene, styrene, fiberglass, and nylon)
