Thermoplastics: Plastics which get deformed easily on heating and can be bent easily are called thermoplastics. When these plastics are cooled, they become hard and thus maintain their shape. Plastic bottles or plastic containers are examples of thermoplastics.
Thermosetting plastics: Thermosetting plastics are different from thermoplastics. The thermosetting plastics instead get hard on heating. This acquired strength is irreversible and these substances can't be made soft again by heating. Since they are stiff, hard and also resist most chemical reactions, they are used as laminates for work surfaces, electrical insulation, etc.
