Solution

Chromosomal disorders:

  1. Chromosomal disorders are diseases that affect at the genetic level.
  2. Chromosomal disorders affect from birth or affect in the later stages.
  3. Chromosomal disorders are mostly caused through inheritance from one generation to the next generation.

Causes of the chromosomal disorder are:

Meiosis:

  1. It is a type of cell division that results in the production of four gamete cells and a 50% reduction in the number of chromosomes in the parent cell.
  2. However, if meiosis is abnormal, a newborn may be born with additional chromosomes (trisomy) or without chromosomes altogether (monosomy).

Mitosis:

  1. All other cells in the body divide during mitosis.
  2. In the womb, a kid develops in this manner.
  3. Mitosis mistakes can happen during pregnancy.
  4. The resulting cells may have an extra chromosome (for a total of 47) or be missing a chromosome if the chromosomes don't divide into equal halves (45 total).

Teratogens:

  1. These are substances that increase a baby's risk of developing a birth defect or can cause one.
  2. They are items that a mother comes in contact with during her pregnancy.
  3. Teratogens include certain medications, illicit substances, toxic chemicals, alcohol, and tobacco a few germs and viruses, certain radiation types, and a few medical conditions, like uncontrolled diabetes.
