• Here, Iron is made up of only Iron atoms.

Compound:

• A compound is a substance that can be split into simpler and different substances by chemical means.
• For example, Water$\left({\mathrm{H}}_2\mathrm{O}\right)$.
• Here, Water is a compound made with two different substances called Hydrogen$\left(H\right)$ and Oxygen$\left(O\right)$.
• Hence it can be split into these two different substances Hydrogen and oxygen.
