The correct option is C 1 and -1
Given,
$5 x - 3 y = 8$ ...(a)
$2 x - 3 y = 5$ ...(b)

Using (a),
$3 y = 5 x - 8$
Substituting value of $3 y$ in (b)
$2 x - (5 x - 8) = 5$
$- 3 x + 8 = 5$
$x = 1$
Putting value of $x = 1$ in (a)
We obtain,
$y = - 1$
