Waterborne sickness is caused by disease-causing bacteria or pathogens in recreational or drinking water. Many waterborne infections can also be acquired through eating or drinking contaminated food or beverages, coming into touch with animals or their habitat, or spreading from person to person.

Two water-borne diseases are Cholera and Amoebic Dysentery.
