Open in App
Solution

Dear student,

The asteroid belt can be seen between Mars and Jupiter. It is formed by pieces of rock left over from the dawn of the solar system. These bodies are known as asteroids.
The gap between Mars and Jupiter give chance to the existence of this belt. Due to gravity these rock chunks or asteroids are bound to the asteroid belt.
