Question

What can be done to make the given figure a fractal?

Statement 1: Each side of the polygon be divided into three parts and a triangle in outward direction replaces the middle part on each side of the polygon. This process is repeated infinitely many times for newly created sides.

Solution

The correct option is A Statement 1
Each side of the polygon be divided into three parts and a triangle in outward direction replaces the middle part on each side of the polygon.

When this process is repeated infinitely many times, a fractal is formed with the shape of a snowflake.
Note: Above figure has finite sides but we can visualise it in process of creating infinitely many side in similiar way.

It will result in a shape of infinite sides.
