Solution

Na2CO3(aq)+2H2O(liquid)===>2NaOH+H2O(liquid)+CO2(gas)

CO3^2-(aq) +2H2O(l) ===> 2OH- (aq) + H2O(l) + CO2(g)
so the solution will contain OH- so the pH willbe greater than 7
