  1. The term Bioluminescence refers to the production and emission of light in living organisms through chemical reactions.
  2. Algae that shows Bioluminescence is dinoflagellate(for example noctiluca).
  3. When algal blooms in water are disturbed chemical reaction occurs between enzyme luciferase and oxygen, which causes algae to glow.
