1. Impedance is a combination of resistance and reactance.
2. It is essentially anything and everything that obstructs the flow of electrons within an electrical circuit.
3. It is denoted by $Z$ and estimated by the formula $Z=\sqrt{R^2+{(X_L-X_C)}^2}$, where $R$ is resistance, $X_L$ is inductive reactance, and $X_C$ is inductive Capacitance.

Causes of impedance

1. The impedance causes inside the inductor due to the generation of magnetic field
2. The impedance in a capacitor is caused due to the creation of the electric field.
