Lymph Nodes:

  1. Lymph nodes are small bean shaped nodules which are part of our immune system.
  2. Lymph nodes contain lymphocytes (white blood cells) that helps the body fight infection and illness by filtering things that move through the lymphatic fluid.
  3. Lymph nodes are located in many parts of the body like neck, groin abdomen, etc..

Swollen Lymph Nodes:

  1. The most prevalent cause of swollen lymph nodes is bacterial or viral infection.
  2. It can also be caused by cancer.
  3. Lymph node swelling in the groin area can be caused by sexually transmitted diseases (STIs) such as syphilis or gonorrhoea.
